PA SERVICES

Who Are Positive Future Consultancy (PFC)

Positive Future Consultancy (PFC) is an organisation with many years experience working with children and adults with learning difficulties, disabilities and barriers to life and learning.

PFC's Aim

For the purposes of PA services, PFC will endeavour to support families through the sometimes very difficult process of recruiting and appointing the right PA for each family. Together with Halton borough Council, the Disabled Children's Service and the Direct Payments Team we aim to make the process as seamless as possible.

PFC will recruit, pre-interview, acquire DBS checks and train PA’s to a standard of readiness to be introduced to families who are looking for the right PA for them.

We will have a bank of PA's to choose from, enabling families to make a decision based on their needs and requirements.

What is our role with Families?

PFC will assist families in the interviewing process if required.

PFC will meet the families and help support them through understanding how direct payments work and what is required from them at each stage of the process. We will continue to be available to support the families with information, advice and guidance even after the PA is settled with the family.

PFC will assist families to establish a chosen family member as a PA with all the checks and training as an independent PA.

If PFC can not for any reason answer your questions, we will help to get the answers for you together with Halton borough Council, the Disabled Children's Service and the Direct Payments Team.

What is our role with PA's (Personal Assistants)?

PFC will strive to enable PA’s to reach a set standard providing them with the tools they need to carry out the role of a PA.

PFC will provide the PA’s with access to:

- training and support including:

• Health and Safety

• Manual Handling

• Equal Ops

• First Aid

- information, advice and guidance

- help in matching them to the right family.

PFC will assist families to establish a chosen family member as a PA with all the checks, training and support as an independant PA.

If PFC can not for any reason answer your questions, we will help to get the answers for you together with Halton borough Council, the Disabled Children's Service and the Direct Payments Team.

PA Services

PFC has a bank of Personal Assistants who will be fully DBS checked and fully trained in the areas of:

- Safeguarding

- Health & Safety

- Equal Opportunities

- Manual Handling

- Paediatric First Aid

Additional training is offered and sought for our PA's in more specialised areas as required and when needed.

Our PA's are matched with local families who require the employment of a PA, enabling the family to choose the right match for them, and whom compliments their family and needs best.
